Chris Avis

Chris started his career with Microsoft in 1994 as a contractor during the Windows 95 launch. In 1997 he became a full-time employee and helped bring the Small Business Server support team online. For the next 6 years he supported all features of the Small Business Server product and helped bring SBS 2000 from Beta to release.

In 2003, Chris moved to southern California and took on the role of IT Evangelist and speaking to customer and partners about the products and technologies that Microsoft has to offer. His experience supporting the broad range of products in Small Business Server has allowed him to speak about Networking, Security, Exchange messaging, Internet Security and Acceleration Server, and of course the Windows platform.

Currently, Chris lives deep in the woods of Redmond, WA and speaks to anyone and everyone about technology.
